Dear Members of the Community,

I would like to bring to your attention an issue that has been causing inconvenience to individuals who are applying for an India passport reissue through the Indian Embassy. It has come to my notice that many applicants are having to reapply due to an error in the "Change in Existing Personal Particulars" section of the application form.

Make sure to check change is personal details

Several customers who came for notary serives have shared their experiences with me, and it appears that many applicants are not selecting the appropriate check box for the change they are making (i.e. spouse, address, etc.), resulting in their application having to be redone. This can be frustrating and time-consuming for applicants, especially if they are in urgent need of their passport.

To address this issue, I strongly suggest that the Indian Embassy website make the check box more prominent or add a clear instruction that states the check box must be selected for any change being made. This will help prevent confusion and ensure that applications are completed correctly the first time. However, please note that this may take some time to be implemented.

In the meantime, I urge all members of the community who are applying for a passport reissue to please pay close attention to this section of the application form and ensure that the appropriate check box is selected. By doing so, you can help prevent delays and ensure that your application is processed smoothly.
